Park / Area History

The development of the Bengough Regional Park began in 1975. The town and rural municipality of Bengough appointed community members, along with some counsellors to serve on the newly formed board. The RM of Bengough donated the parcel of land on which the park is located and the town provided a sizeable cash donation to help with capital costs. They also signed a contract with the Department of Tourism & Renewable Resources for a 5 year term, which provided capital funding to begin the work of developing the park.

Barrier Free Access

All of our campsites are on flat, level ground so are wheelchair accessible. Our newly developed washroom/shower facility is also accessible.
