Park Description

Nestled within city limits of Melville, Melville Regional Park has been in operations for nearly six decades. We have beautiful mature trees that providing private camping and accessible showers. The campground has 106 campsites, including 24 sites that are 30 AMP Full service.

Melville Regional Park also features 8 ball diamonds, which play host to slo-pitch, fastball and baseball with players from amongst the age groups 5 to 75. We have hosted many provincial championships in our facilities.

We also have an 18 hole disc golf course, family picnic areas, and are utilized as a wedding venue.

Within walking distance is an outdoor swimming pool, dog park, tennis courts and the Trans Canada walking trails.

For a relaxing round of golf we offer a beautiful 18 hole grass green course and clubhouse.

Available with in City of Melville limits: restaurants, gas stations, auto repair facilities, laundry, movie theatre, grocery stores Hospital, RCMP, car and truck wash, 500 seat convention centre, two hockey rinks (one with summer ice), several playgrounds, indoor walking path at the CN Community Centre, youth trout pond, mountain bike trails, disc golf in the park and the Kinsmen Park Spray Park.

Policies

Dogs must be on a leash at all times, and waste must be picked up and discarded.

No quads or motorbikes are permitted. An exception to this rule is approval for diamond maintenance for large tournaments. (Only licensed individuals are permitted to operate the units)

The park hosts a lovely U shaped area that can be utilized for group camping. The area has 12 – 30 AMP sites, the perfect setting for a family reunion or a friends getaway.

Golf club is open 7 days a week May through October.

Swimming

Melville Swimming pool is located adjacent to the park and is the perfect pool for your child’s lessons. The pool features a zero beach entry, Toddler area, 6 lane swimming and a 3 loop waterslide.

Playground/Recreation Activities

Playground located beside Melville swimming pool.  Batting cages, disc golf and mountain bike trails.

Hiking/Nature Trails

There are several walking paths within the park, and the walking trails have access to the Trans Canada Trail. Be sure to watch out for the mature poplar trees, naturalized creek, and a multitude of wildlife.

Driving Directions

Turn into Melville at the Mall access road (Mobil Gas)
Turn left onto Halifax and continue until you reach the park access.
