Park Description

Locals and visitors alike have been having fun and making memories at Rockin Beach Park for over 100 years. In recent years, the park has seen some great improvements thanks to a dedicated board of volunteers. Improvements include two new updated washroom/shower facilities, 200 trees planted throughout the park, a new disc golf course, a new boat dock and electrical upgrades to camp sites.

Rockin Beach Park offers:

  • Thirty nine 30-amp camping sites; eight 15-amp camping sites; and 14 tenting sites
  • A beautiful lake used for boating, kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing
  • A sand beach and swimming area

Local Services

The town of Rockglen offers many amenities including grocery store, gas station/hardware store, ATM, coffee shop, spin studio, restaurant, hair salons, bar and various shops.


Park / Area History

The area was popular back in the 1920s with local swimmers, boaters and baseball players. In 1953 the park was upgraded to a campground and was given the name Grant's Beach before eventually being renamed as Rockin Beach Park.

Policies

Dogs must be leashed at all times. Owners must pick up dog waste.

Camping

Rockin Beach includes thirty-nine 30-amp (water and electric) camping sites; eight 15-amp (water and electric) camping sites; and 14 tenting sites. Enjoy water sports? The lake is popular for boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing or relaxing on the beach. Golf

A 9-hole disc golf course was installed in 2024 and is the only course in the area. Disc golf is free to play and discs are available for rental.

Swimming

Enjoy the park’s designated beach area. Note that there is no lifeguard on duty.

Playground/Recreation Activities

Rockin Beach Park includes two playgrounds. Stay tuned for new playground equipment being installed in the near future!

Boating and Fishing

Many visitors visit Rockin Beach Park for the boating and fishing. We have a concrete boat launch with a new dock and ample parking. The lake has been stocked with walleye in previous years.

Hiking/Nature Trails

There are numerous various green spaces in and around the park to explore.

Additional Features

Keep Rockin Beach Park in mind for any upcoming events you are having – the quonset is used regularly for events such as family reunions, birthday parties, weddings, fundraisers, etc.

 

July long weekend is a particularly busy time with mud bog races, a beach bash cabaret, beach volleyball, slow pitch, fireworks and more.
