Park Description
Sandy Beach Regional Park is a beautiful small park located 15 minutes north of Lloydminster on highway 17. Sandy Beach features a nine-hole grass green golf course, a small lake and public beach with slides & diving boards, a playground, community hall, enclosed picnic shelter, daily campfire pits, horseshoes, basketball court and walking paths. There is a concession in the gate entrance building with snacks and beverages, horseshoe & golf club rentals and a kitchen area preparing soup/sandwich/hot meal options.
Community hall rentals are available year-round. It includes an open facing kitchen and has a 100-chair capacity. Ideal for small weddings, reunions and corporate functions.

Fuel available at Alcurve 8 kms North at the junction of Highway 17 and Highway 45. All services are available in Lloydminster. The Lloydminster Tourism Department provides information on visiting as well as numerous community events at www.lloydminstertourism.ca/
Park / Area History
In the early 1950's a group of cabin owners organized to form the Sandy Beach Association. In the early 1960's the Saskatchewan Government started the program of regional parks which brought about the formation of the present park. The park officially became a regional park on October 7, 1966. Over the past 20 years the park has seen numerous upgrades and expansion of services.
