About

Who We Are

The Saskatchewan Regional Parks Association represents the Regional Parks in Saskatchewan. The purpose of the SRPA is to assist the Regional Park Board members and staff. Some of the assistance is by research, education and providing information resources.

The SRPA performs as a liaison between government departments and the regional parks and lobbies on their behalf.

One convention is held each year for the purpose of education and networking for the delegates. The SRPA hosts a website for the regional parks and provides additional marketing through the production and distribution of The Regional Parks Guide, other print media and radio advertising.

The Saskatchewan Regional Parks Association office is located on Treaty 6 Territory – homeland of the Cree and Métis Nations, and traditional territories of the Dene, Saulteaux, Dakota, Lakota, and Nakota. Regional Parks in Saskatchewan are located on Treaty 2, Treaty 4, Treaty 5, Treaty 6, and Treaty 7 lands. We acknowledge the many First Nations and Métis of past and present who have lived on and cared for these lands for generations. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those whose territory we reside on or are visiting.
